Grown Up Drama Club
Introducing our first class series!
This weekly class series will combine improv, personal storytelling, and drama games that will help you flex your creative muscles, build confidence and public speaking skills, and tap into your silly side. If you’re looking for a weekly creative ritual that will help you fight the Seattle Freeze, this class is for you!
WHEN: Tuesday evenings from 7pm-9pm from November 18-December 16 (5 weeks).
WHERE: Room 104 at University Heights Center.
As the colder, darker months settle in, it’s easy to feel isolated or uninspired. Drama and improv offer a powerful antidote by keeping your mind active, your body moving, and your spirit lifted.
Each class brings laughter, human connection, and a chance to step outside your routine. If you're looking for a weekly fall ritual where you get to play, create, and collaborate with others, Grown Up Drama Club is for you.
We'll cover topics such as devising, scene work, character building, improvisation, stage presence, and physical theatre.
What people are saying
“The workshop leaders, Saya and Abbie, structure the evening so that everybody can share about themselves and also feel safe. The stakes are low and the opportunities to meet people and make friends are great. It’s a low-risk opportunity to be your real self. I recommend it highly. It was delightful.”
— Bob W.
“I don’t think of myself as a creative person, but I felt pretty dang creative in this class! It was really fun and I felt like I learned a lot that I’ll be able to use in my life as well.”
— Melissa C.
